Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Peoplifi (“Peoplifi”, “we”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies (pixels, local storage, session storage, and fingerprintless analytics signals) when you visit our marketing website at peoplifi.com or use the Peoplifi application. It complements our Privacy Policy and our GDPR notice (for EU and UK visitors), and explains the categories of cookies we set, the purposes they serve, how long they last, and how you can control them.
We have written this policy to comply with the EU ePrivacy Directive (the “cookie law”), the GDPR, the UK GDPR and PECR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, the Virginia VCDPA, the Colorado CPA, and similar US state privacy laws. If your jurisdiction requires consent before non-essential cookies are set, you will see a consent banner the first time you visit, and we will not set optional cookies until you have made a choice.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter them every time you visit or navigate between pages.
First-party cookies are set directly by Peoplifi and used only on our domain. Third-party cookies are set by services we embed, such as analytics or video providers, on their domains. Session cookies expire when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. Where we use local storage or session storage, we treat them as functionally equivalent to cookies for purposes of consent.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you logged in to your Peoplifi account between sessions.
- Remember preferences and settings (theme, language, time zone).
- Maintain CSRF protection and other security tokens.
- Understand how visitors use our marketing site, in aggregate.
- Measure the performance of marketing campaigns and content.
- Run A/B tests on copy, layout, and call-to-action buttons.
- Show relevant content and re-engagement messages on other websites and platforms (only with your explicit consent where required by law).
3. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
Always activeNecessary for the website and application to function. Without these cookies, you would not be able to log in, navigate between secured pages, or submit forms. Because they are essential to delivering the service you have requested, you cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies.
- Session authentication tokens (expire on logout or 30 days inactivity)
- CSRF protection tokens (per-request)
- Load-balancer affinity cookie (session)
- Locale and time-zone preference cookies (1 year)
Functional cookies
OptionalEnable enhanced functionality such as remembering UI choices (sidebar collapsed, dark mode), saving recent searches, and pre-filling form fields you have used before. These are not strictly required, but disabling them will degrade the experience.
- UI state cookies (theme, sidebar, table density)
- Recently viewed items
- Pre-filled form helpers
Analytics cookies
OptionalHelp us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. We use this data to fix bugs, prioritize features, and improve the marketing site. We currently use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled. We do not use analytics cookies to build profiles of identifiable individuals or to share personal information with advertisers.
- _ga (Google Analytics 4 client identifier, 13 months)
- _ga_* (Google Analytics 4 session state, 13 months)
- Page-view tracking and time-on-page
- Bounce-rate and exit-page measurement
Marketing cookies
OptionalUsed to deliver content and ads that are more relevant to you and to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. These are only set with your explicit consent. If you did not consent, no marketing cookies are set, and any embedded ad pixels are blocked at the page level.
- Conversion tracking pixels (Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag)
- Re-engagement cookies for users who started but did not complete signup
- A/B test assignment cookies (typically 14 days)
4. Third-party services that may set cookies
When you interact with embedded content or services on our site, those providers may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies. We list the major ones below; this list is kept current and any change will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of the page.
- Google Analytics 4 — site analytics (analytics category). IP anonymization enabled.
- Google Ads — conversion tracking and re-engagement (marketing category).
- LinkedIn Insight Tag — campaign attribution on B2B campaigns (marketing category).
- Stripe — payment fraud detection on the checkout page (strictly necessary when you reach checkout).
- Embedded video players (YouTube, Loom) — only load if you click play on an embedded video, and only set cookies after you click play.
5. Managing your cookie preferences
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Cookie banner. The first time you visit our site (and any time you clear cookies), you will see a banner that lets you accept all, reject all, or choose by category. You can re-open the banner at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that disabling strictly-necessary cookies will break login and core navigation. Browser instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for jurisdictions where that right applies (CA, CO, CT, VA, UT, and others).
- Account settings. Logged-in users can manage marketing email preferences and analytics consent in their account settings.
- Industry opt-outs. US visitors can use the Network Advertising Initiative and Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tools to limit interest-based advertising across participating advertisers.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we add, replace, or retire tools that set cookies. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be surfaced in the cookie banner so you have a chance to review them before continuing.
