Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Employees Social Security Institution — KP's provincial social security body.
KPESSI (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Employees Social Security Institution) is the KP-province equivalent of PESSI and SESSI, providing social security to private-sector employees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Following the 18th constitutional amendment that devolved social security to provinces, KP established KPESSI under its provincial ordinance.
Contribution rates and benefits broadly mirror PESSI: 6% employer, 1% employee on a capped wage ceiling (currently PKR 16,000). Benefits include medical care at KPESSI-affiliated facilities, sickness allowance, maternity benefits, injury compensation, and death grants. Registration is processed through the KPESSI head office in Peshawar.
Employers operating in KP must register separately even if they already hold PESSI or SESSI registration. Employees cannot claim benefits from a province they do not work in. Modern HR platforms handle province detection automatically — if an employee is based in a KP office, KPESSI applies; if they move to Lahore, PESSI applies going forward.
Our Peshawar office files KPESSI contributions each month for the 22 eligible employees there.
Peoplifi handles Pakistan payroll, compliance, and HR workflows in one platform.
